Accra:According to Bahrain News Agency, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, praised the directive from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to designate the coming year as the "Year of Isa bin Salman." This initiative is seen as a gesture of loyalty and appreciation for the late His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, acknowledging his significant contributions to Bahrain's modern development and state-building.
Shaikh Isa bin Ali emphasized that the late Shaikh Isa's leadership was pivotal in consolidating Bahrain's sovereignty and enhancing its standing both regionally and internationally. He highlighted the late leader's wisdom and vision, which were instrumental in establishing the foundations for development across various sectors in Bahrain. The commemoration also pays tribute to the collaborative achievements of Shaikh Isa bin Salman and his brother, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, in advancing the nation's infrastructure, economy, and public services.
Furthermore, Shaikh Isa bin Ali noted the enduring relationship that the late Shaikh Isa maintained with the citizens of Bahrain, characterized by mutual trust and affection. He stated that the "Year of Isa bin Salman" will serve as a means to educate future generations about the late leader's achievements and the values that underpinned his approach to governance.
Shaikh Isa bin Ali also expressed appreciation for the Royal Address delivered by King Hamad at the inauguration of the fifth session of the sixth legislative term of the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives. The address outlined priorities for advancing Bahrain's development, focusing on national achievements, security, and expanding opportunities for progress.
