Works Ministry, Applied Science University Sign MoU for Student Training

Manama: The Ministry of Works and the Applied Science University have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance student training and strengthen academic and professional cooperation. The MoU was signed by Ibrahim bin Hassan Al Hawaj, Minister of Works, and Dr. Hatem Mahmoud Al Masri, President of the Applied Science University.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Hawaj emphasized the ministry's commitment to providing comprehensive training opportunities to equip students with practical skills for the job market. The MoU will allow students to gain hands-on experience through training at major project sites, including bridges, wastewater treatment plants, and strategic buildings. It also includes field visits to various construction projects supervised by the ministry.

Al Hawaj said that the agreement aims to integrate academic curricula with practical experience by offering training aligned with students' specializations, supporting graduation projects, and organizing joint scientific activities and workshops to facilitate knowledge exchange. It also includes collaboration on research projects and the organization of conferences and seminars on shared areas of interest.

Dr. Al Khaja emphasized the university's commitment to further developing partnerships with government and national institutions. He highlighted the university's dedication to equipping students with the skills needed for the labor market by linking academic programs with major projects and providing training opportunities, specialized courses, and advisory services that align with the ministry's needs.

Dr. Al Masri described the MoU as a key step in advancing academic and professional collaboration with government entities, noting the university's efforts to create a learning environment that enhances students' skills through real-world experience.
