Manama: The General Directorate for the Enforcement of Judgements and Alternative Sentences has obtained the Diamond Level Accreditation as a Health-Promoting Workplace, becoming one of seven entities in the Kingdom of Bahrain to achieve this advanced level. The accreditation recognises its efforts to promote a healthy and safe working environment in accordance with the standards approved by the Ministry of Health.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Director General of the General Directorate for the Enforcement of Judgements and Alternative Sentences, received the accreditation certificate from Dr. Wafa Ibrahim Al Sharabati, Director of the Health Promotion Directorate at the Ministry of Health.
Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid stated that attaining this accreditation reflects the Directorate's commitment to applying the best health practices and providing a supportive and sustainable working environment in line with nationally approved standards. He highlighted that this aims to enhance the quality of working life for its personnel and to embed a culture of health and well-being, which is positively reflected in institutional performance.
The Director-General noted that this achievement came under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and through the close follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He added that it was also achieved under the direct supervision of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior.
He emphasised that the General Directorate will continue to develop health-supporting initiatives in the workplace, in line with national policies aimed at enhancing the quality of working environments and achieving institutional sustainability.
