Abu dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, held a meeting with Tom Berendsen, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions focused on regional developments, particularly the repercussions of Iranian missile attacks targeting the UAE and other countries. The dialogue encompassed the impact of these attacks on regional and international security, as well as maritime security, energy supplies, and the global economy.
The Dutch foreign minister expressed his country's solidarity with the UAE in its measures to protect its sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity, along with ensuring the safety of its citizens, residents, and visitors.
HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized that the visit is a testament to the strong bilateral relations and international support for the UAE. The meeting also covered recent regional developments, including the announcement of a ceasefire between the United States and Iran, highlighting the importance of bolstering international efforts to enhance security, stability, and peace in the region.
Additionally, both ministers addressed issues of mutual interest in bilateral relations and explored ways to enhance cooperation across various sectors.
