UAE and DR Congo Presidents Discuss Bilateral Cooperation and Regional Security

Abu dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, received F©lix Tshisekedi, President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, during the latter's working visit to the UAE. The leaders engaged in a discussion focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation, especially in the economic and development sectors. They explored opportunities to strengthen ties in line with their shared development priorities and the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the two nations.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions also addressed recent developments in the Middle East and their potential impact on regional and international security and stability. President Tshisekedi condemned attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure in the UAE and surrounding regions, emphasizing that such actions violate sovereignty and international law, thereby undermining peace and security in the area.

Furthermore, President Tshisekedi expressed solidarity with the UAE, voicing support for the measures it has undertaken to ensure its security, stability, and territorial integrity. The meeting was attended by several senior officials, highlighting the importance of the dialogue between the two countries.
