Manama: Fahad Mohammed bin Kardous Al Ameri, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Kingdom of Bahrain, affirmed that the visit of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, to the Kingdom of Bahrain and his meeting with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa reflect the strength of bilateral relations and the close partnership between the two countries.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Ambassador noted that the visit underscored the depth of the longstanding ties between the two countries, built on a history of close cooperation and strong relations, which stand as a model of cooperation and integration.
Al Ameri affirmed that the meeting between HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and His Majesty the King reflects a shared commitment to continued consultation and close coordination, particularly amid current regional developments and their implications for regional and international security and stability.
He noted that the visit comes amid recent regional developments, including attacks targeting the UAE, Bahrain, and countries in the region, affecting civilians and infrastructure and constituting a violation of sovereignty and international law, and undermining regional security and stability.
The Ambassador affirmed that these developments highlight the strength of the joint UAE-Bahrain position and the high level of coordination between the two countries in addressing challenges and safeguarding their security, stability, and development gains.
Al Ameri expressed appreciation for the remarks of His Majesty the King during the meeting, noting that they reflect the historical ties between the two countries and their close relations, and reaffirmed the UAE's role as a key partner committed to unity and mutual support.
He added that His Majesty's remarks regarding the UAE leadership's positions, characterised by clarity of vision and consistency of approach, reflect the depth of mutual trust and understanding between the two countries and the strong relations that unite them.
The Ambassador also noted His Majesty's reference to the sacrifices of fallen servicemen from both countries in defence of shared values and principles, reflecting the bonds that unite the two countries.
Al Ameri affirmed that His Majesty's emphasis on the UAE's steadfast positions amid current regional developments, and his appreciation for the support extended by the UAE, reflect a shared sense of responsibility and highlight the importance of continued cooperation in strengthening the capacity of both countries to address challenges and reinforce regional security and stability.
