Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, convened with Nabeel Khaled Kanoo, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), and its Board of Directors at Gudaibiya Palace. The meeting underscored the Kingdom's dedication to strengthening public-private partnerships to support comprehensive national development, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Royal Highness highlighted the significant role of the private sector as a catalyst for economic growth and sustainable development, enhancing Bahrain's global competitiveness. He extended congratulations to the newly elected Chairman and Board members of the BCCI for its 31st session, expressing optimism for their success in advancing initiatives that benefit the Kingdom and its citizens.
His Royal Highness also acknowledged the contributions of the outgoing Board of Directors in bolstering Bahrain's commercial and industrial sectors. He emphasized the importance of continued coordination between the private and public sectors, which he identified as the foundation for robust economic growth.
In the face of hostile Iranian aggression, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister praised the private sector's efforts, in collaboration with relevant authorities, to maintain market stability and ensure the availability of goods, thereby reinforcing consumer confidence. He noted that effective public-private partnerships are crucial for transforming challenges into opportunities and achieving further milestones for the Kingdom's prosperity.
The Chairman and Board members of the BCCI expressed their gratitude to His Royal Highness for his unwavering support in enhancing the role of the private sector and promoting the Chamber's efforts in national development and economic enhancement.
The meeting was also attended by HE Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister; HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Minister of the Prime Minister's Court; HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy; along with several senior officials.
