Manama: Fahad Mohammed Salem Kardous Al Ameri, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Bahrain, highlighted that the 46th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain, marks a pivotal milestone in the ongoing journey of Gulf cooperation and integration. This event aims to advance sustainable development, achieve further accomplishments, and strengthen the Council’s regional and international standing, while meeting the aspirations of its peoples.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Ambassador Al Ameri underlined the UAE’s commitment, under the leadership of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to advancing GCC cooperation through active participation in shared summits and committees. This commitment also reflects the UAE’s dedication to deepening Gulf integration and promoting prosperity across the region.
He praised the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, for its role in supporting GCC cooperation. Hosting the 46th Summit underscores Bahrain’s continuous dedication to strengthening the Gulf framework. He remarked that the summit holds special importance in light of global and regional challenges and rapid changes, emphasizing the need for continuous coordination among member states to safeguard security, stability, and achieve shared developmental goals.
Ambassador Al Ameri emphasized that past decades of GCC cooperation in political, economic, security, and social arenas have delivered significant achievements and supported fair causes for the Arab and Islamic nations. He expressed confidence that the Summit will adopt decisions to expand economic integration and cooperation in strategic sectors, supporting sustainable growth and prosperity for member states.
Finally, he commended the Bahraini diplomatic team, particularly the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led by Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, for their efforts in preparing and organizing the Summit. He expressed hopes for successful outcomes that advance the objectives of GCC cooperation and wished continued progress and prosperity for Bahrain and the peoples of the GCC.
