Manama: Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, visited Youth City 2030, organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs in cooperation with its strategic partner, the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), where she reviewed its training programmes and specialised initiatives aimed at developing the capabilities of Bahraini youth and equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to meet future requirements.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister was accompanied by Marwan Fouad Kamal, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, on a tour of the city's facilities. She was briefed on its training centres, programmes, and initiatives, as well as their positive outcomes in developing the leadership, technical, and creative skills of Bahraini youth, contributing to the preparation of national talent capable of supporting the Kingdom's development.
The tour also included visits to the five training centres featured in the 15th edition of Youth City 2030: the Entrepreneurship and Leadership Centre, the Arts and Culture Centre, the Science and Technology Centre, the Media and Digital Innovation Centre, and the Summer Sports City. All these centres offer specialised programmes designed to identify and develop young people's talents across a range of fields.
Minister Al Sairafi praised the continuous development of Youth City 2030 and the quality of its training programmes and initiatives, describing it as a leading national model for investing in youth and an integrated platform that prepares a generation equipped with the skills and capabilities to contribute effectively to the Kingdom's development.
She noted that the city's modern training environment and strategic partnerships with various entities reflect Bahrain's national vision to empower young people and create broader opportunities for innovation and creativity. She emphasized that investing in youth is a key pillar for building a more prosperous and sustainable future while enhancing the readiness of national talent to keep pace with rapid developments across various sectors.
