Tamkeen CEO Highlights Expansion of Youth City 2030

Manama: Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Chief Executive of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), stated that the strategic partnership between Tamkeen and the Ministry of Youth Affairs in organizing Youth City 2030 signifies national efforts to invest in Bahraini youth. This initiative aims to equip them with the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to enhance their competitiveness across various sectors.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Mofeez emphasized that Youth City 2030 is one of the Kingdom's leading youth initiatives, supporting the development of national talent by preparing young Bahrainis to participate effectively in national development. Over the past 15 years, Youth City 2030 has enabled thousands of participants to acquire specialized skills, aiding their educational and professional growth and strengthening their presence across different sectors.

Mofeez highlighted the significant expansion of the 15th edition, which includes more than 150 new training programs, increased participant numbers, and additional training opportunities. This reflects the initiative's continued development and aligns with Tamkeen's strategy of investing in national talent by linking skills with labor market opportunities. Tamkeen also adopts innovative approaches to enhance productivity and competitiveness, support private sector growth and financing, and strengthen the fund's governance and institutional culture.

She affirmed that as Tamkeen enters its third decade, it will continue expanding specialized programs and opportunities for Bahraini youth in line with national aspirations. This will contribute to economic and social development and strengthen the role of young Bahrainis as active partners in building a more prosperous and sustainable future.
