Speaker Welcomes Crown Prince’s Directive to Boost Support for Low-Income Families

Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, expressed his approval of the recent directives issued by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, aimed at increasing financial support for low-income families. These directives align with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which prioritizes the well-being of Bahraini citizens in national development efforts.

According to Bahrain News Agency, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister has instructed the Ministry of Social Development to enhance the cost-of-living allowance for low-income families starting in January 2026. Speaker Al Musallam praised this decision as a testament to the Crown Prince's ongoing commitment to improving social services and reinforcing support programs for the benefit of citizens, particularly those in low-income brackets.

Speaker Al Musallam emphasized that the directives from HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister are crucial for maintaining a decent standard of living for all Bahraini citizens and families, especially those with limited financial means. He reiterated the parliamentary backing for initiatives that aim to enhance the welfare of the nation and its people.
