Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, received Ni Ruchi, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of Bahrain, on the occasion of the end of his tenure. Al Musallam highlighted the deep-rooted relations between Bahrain and China, which continue to develop across economic, commercial, cultural, and development areas, reflecting the shared commitment of the leaderships of both countries to further advance bilateral cooperation.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Speaker emphasized China's key role on the international stage, its support for international peace and security, and its adherence to international law and multilateral action, which contribute to global stability and prosperity. Al Musallam affirmed the Council of Representatives' commitment to supporting and enhancing parliamentary cooperation with China through exchanges of visits and expertise. This includes activating the role of parliamentary friendship committees, which support the interests and aspirations of both countries.
Ambassador Ni Ruchi expressed appreciation for the distinguished relations between China and Bahrain and affirmed his country's commitment to expanding cooperation in various areas, particularly in parliamentary, economic, and investment cooperation. He also commended the Council of Representatives' role in supporting bilateral relations.
