Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, welcomed Reham Abdelhamid Mahmoud Khalil, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Bahrain, in a meeting aimed at reinforcing the strong relationship between the two nations.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Speaker expressed pride in the robust ties existing between Bahrain and Egypt, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. Al Musallam highlighted the continuous development and growth of the partnership between the two countries, praising the level of bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, Al Musallam underscored the Council of Representatives' commitment to further strengthening collaboration with Egypt's House of Representatives and Senate. He emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise to support mutual interests and acknowledged Egypt's pivotal role in promoting joint Arab action. He noted Egypt's efforts in fostering the security, stability, and prosperity of the region, emphasizing that Egypt's longstanding positions are crucial in safeguarding Arab national security.
