Manama: Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, received Hala Yateem, Chairperson of the National Bank of Bahrain (NBB). The meeting also included the Chairman and members of the Zakat and Charity Fund Board and Usman Ahmed, Group Chief Executive Officer of NBB.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Justice Minister expressed appreciation to NBB for its contributions to supporting community initiatives as part of its commitment to social responsibility, particularly its support for the projects and programmes of the Zakat and Charity Fund. He commended the bank's role in promoting the values of solidarity and giving and contributing to community service.
Minister Al Maawda emphasised the importance of enhancing cooperation between the Zakat and Charity Fund and private sector institutions, noting that such partnerships contribute to supporting community initiatives and projects and efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and promote social solidarity.
