Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, extended his congratulations to Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa for being honoured by the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. This recognition celebrates Shaikh Mohammed's historic achievement as the first Bahraini to graduate from the prestigious academy, having joined its ranks in 1957.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Speaker emphasized that this honour underscores the enduring military relationship between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom. It also commemorates 70 years of cooperation between Bahrain and Sandhurst, highlighting the academy's role in the training and development of numerous Bahraini leaders and officers.
Al Musallam further recognized the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, in strengthening Bahrain-UK relations. The King's commitment to advancing national capabilities through enhanced military and leadership training was also noted as a key factor in the ongoing partnership.
