Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, congratulated Counsellor Hisham Badawi on his election as Speaker of the Egyptian House of Representatives for the third legislative term in 2026.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Musallam commended Counsellor Badawi’s extensive legal experience and his long judicial and administrative career within the institutions of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Al Musallam expressed keenness to develop cooperation between Bahrain and Egypt to serve shared aspirations and objectives. He also emphasised the importance of supporting bilateral coordination in regional and international parliamentary forums.
He wished Counsellor Badawi continued success in his duties, hoping his efforts would contribute to the progress and prosperity of Egypt and its people.
