SLRB Unveils Online Property Registration Services via National Portal

Manama: The Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB) has launched new online services for property registration, ownership transfer, and application status inquiries through the National Portal, bahrain.bh. This initiative is in collaboration with the Information and eGovernment Authority and aims to unify government services on a single national platform while supporting the Government Program (2023-2026) focused on service digitalization and quality enhancement.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Bureau has stated that users need to utilize the eKey and the upgraded eKey 2.0 to access these services. The online platform allows for secure electronic data entry, document uploads, application tracking, amendments, and fee payments. Basim bin Yaqoub Al Hamer, President of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau, described the launch as a strategic move to advance digital transformation and improve the service ecosystem. He mentioned that several development projects have been implemented this year, including digital infrastructure upgrades, electronic workflow system enhancements, and the activation of a remote service center.

Al Hamer further explained that the Bureau is executing the second phase of development projects to strengthen connectivity with government and private entities involved in property registration and ownership transfer. This phase focuses on data unification, facilitating information exchange, and improving workflow paths to deliver fast and reliable services within a comprehensive digital government ecosystem.

He highlighted the role of the Information and eGovernment Authority in ensuring a smooth transition of services, meeting technical and operational requirements, and demonstrating the government's commitment to providing innovative services that meet beneficiaries' expectations. Al Hamer also noted that property registration services first became available electronically in 2020, allowing users to complete transactions without in-person visits and marking a significant step in the digital transformation journey.

The Bureau recorded over 26,000 registration applications through its website in 2025. Al Hamer emphasized that these advancements are part of an ongoing development plan to improve real estate services, simplify procedures, and enhance integration among relevant entities, aligning with the government's vision of building an advanced digital services ecosystem.
