Istanbul: Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sisi Al Buainain, Secretary General of the Council of Representatives, and Kareema Mohammed Al Abbasi, Secretary-General of the Shura Council, met Muhammad Qureshi Nias, Secretary General of the Parliamentary Union of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (PUIC), on the sidelines of the 152nd General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Istanbul.
According to Bahrain News Agency, during the meeting, the Secretary General of the Council of Representatives emphasized that the Iranian attacks on the Kingdom of Bahrain are unjustified and contravene international law and the principles of good neighbourliness. The discussions highlighted the implications of these actions on the region.
The Secretary General of the Shura Council pointed out that targeting civilian facilities, infrastructure, and residential areas represents a serious escalation that undermines regional security and stability. The need for firm international action was stressed to address these developments effectively.
On his part, the PUIC Secretary General expressed concern over the incidents, noting that such attacks violate international law. The emphasis was placed on the necessity for a unified stance to enhance regional security and stability.
