Shura Council and Morocco’s House of Councillors Sign Joint Statement During Official Visit

Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, and Mohamed Ould Errachid, Speaker of the House of Councillors of the Kingdom of Morocco, have signed a joint statement during the Moroccan parliamentary delegation's official visit to Bahrain. The agreement highlights the commitment of both countries to strengthen their bilateral relations and enhance parliamentary collaboration.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the two sides emphasized the robust nature of Bahrain-Morocco relations and committed to boosting parliamentary cooperation. They also agreed on the importance of coordination in regional and international forums and pledged to support joint Arab efforts aimed at ensuring security and stability in the region.

The Chairman of the Shura Council reaffirmed Bahrain's support for Morocco's sovereignty over its Sahara and the autonomy initiative. He also welcomed the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2797. On the other hand, the Moroccan side expressed its appreciation for Bahrain's upcoming presidency of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly and showed interest in promoting Africa-Asia parliamentary cooperation.
