Madinah:Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, has strongly condemned the attack by the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia on the Taibah electricity distribution station in Madinah, which supplies electricity to the Prophet's Mosque.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Saleh stated that targeting civilian infrastructure serving the Prophet's Mosque is a blatant violation of the sanctity of Islamic holy sites and an assault on the sentiments of Muslims globally.
Al Saleh emphasized that the attack disregards religious values, international norms and laws, and the sanctity of holy sites. It also undermines Saudi Arabia's established standing in the Arab and Islamic worlds and its role in serving the Two Holy Mosques and their pilgrims and visitors.
In a message of solidarity to Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh, Speaker of the Saudi Shura Council, Al Saleh expressed Bahrain's support for Saudi Arabia and the measures it takes to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability, protect its citizens and residents, and defend Islamic holy sites and civilian infrastructure.
He stressed that the security and stability of Saudi Arabia are integral to Bahrain's own security and stability, highlighting the longstanding and deeply rooted historical relations between the two kingdoms.
