Manama:Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, held a meeting with Dr. Thanos Dokos, National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of Greece. The meeting occurred on the sidelines of the 22nd IISS Manama Dialogue 2026.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was attended by Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Jaber Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor, and Shaikh Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Strategic Security Bureau.
During the meeting, Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad praised the relationship between Bahrain and Greece, highlighting the progress made in various areas. He stressed the importance of continuing to enhance cooperation and joint coordination, aiming to expand the partnership to benefit both nations' mutual interests.
The discussions covered issues of common interest and explored ways to boost cooperation in security and strategic fields. Both parties also shared perspectives on regional and international developments, underscoring the need to strengthen regional and global security and stability. They emphasized ensuring the security of crucial waterways and maintaining freedom of navigation to support regional and global development and prosperity.
