Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Celebrates Top Social Media Contributors in Nasser bin Hamad Premier League

Manama: Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Football Association (BFA), honoured the recipients of the Nasser bin Hamad Premier League Award for Best Social Media Coverage for the 2025/2026 sports season. This recognition took place during a special segment of the Media and Stars Evening.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the award was managed by the Media Office of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and organized under the guidance of a dedicated judging panel of national media experts. In the Best Overall Coverage category, Bahrain Sports Network (BSN) secured first place due to its extensive coverage of the league, which commenced in September 2025. Akhbar Al Khaleej newspaper earned second place, while Al Ayam newspaper finished third.

The individual awards saw Ahmed Al Sheikh from BSN taking the Best Design award, with Hassan Al Salman from Al Ahli Fans account and Turki Rashid (private entity) following in second and third places, respectively. In the Best Video category, Fadhel Abbas from Al Sahlaawi account clinched first place, Abdullah Khalid from AK Media came second, and Mohammed Al Asfour from Al Asfour Sports secured third.

Jassim Al Khair from BSN won first place in the Best Visual Interview category, followed by Ali Majid from Al Bilad newspaper in second, and Ahmed Tawfiq from Akhbar Al Khaleej in third. For Best Photograph, Omar Mohammed (private entity) took first place, with Abdullah Nabeel Al Ansari (private entity) and Wael Zuwaid from Bahrain Stadiums account finishing second and third, respectively.

The event also acknowledged promising emerging photographers, with special awards presented to Jassim Nawaf Bu Hasan, Rashid Al Dossari, and Mohammed Al Shuala for their significant contributions to league coverage.

Additionally, several experienced sports media figures were recognized for their contributions, including Mohammed Lori for sports journalism, Mohammed Al Maawada for sports commentary, Jaafar Ali for photography, Yousif Khairi for radio and television programming, and Ali Al Arabi for television presenting.
