Manama: The Committee on Women in the Nursery and Kindergarten Sector at the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) held its third meeting, chaired by Her Highness Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa.According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting is part of the committee's ongoing follow-up on its work. It focuses on studying the conditions of women working in nurseries and kindergartens. It also aims to propose a general policy to develop and regulate the status of female workers in this sector, in addition to suggesting appropriate training and qualification programmes that support improving the quality of the early education sector.The meeting discussed the committee's views and proposals related to early education, which could be coordinated with the Ministry of Education to enhance the alignment of legislation and policies with current developments and support the advancement of the nursery and kindergarten sectors.The committee includes Ahmed Jaafar Al Hayki, Assistant Undersecretary for Labour Affairs at the Ministry of Labour; Alia Ali Al Aali, Chief Strategy and Data Analytics Officer at the Labour Fund (Tamkeen); Fathiya Ali Aish, Director of Licensing and Follow-up for Early Education at the Ministry of Education; Afaf Salem Hamad Salmeen, Head of Preschool at Abdulrahman Kanoo International School; and Amal Ali Yusuf, Legal Counselor at the Ministry of Legal Affairs.
