SCH Chairman Meets Kuwaiti Health Minister to Strengthen Healthcare Collaboration

Manama: Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH), met with Dr. Ahmad Abdulwahab Al Awadhi, Minister of Health of the State of Kuwait.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Lt. Gen. Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah affirmed the deep-rooted relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait and their continued growth across various sectors, particularly healthcare. He highlighted the commitment of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, as well as the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Highness Shaikh Sabah Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait, in advancing bilateral cooperation and coordination to achieve shared aspirations.

The meeting reviewed cooperation between Bahrain and Kuwait across various health domains and explored means to further enhance their partnership, with a focus on advancing healthcare services, enhancing the capabilities of national healthcare professionals, and expanding the exchange of expertise and successful experiences.

Lt. Gen. Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah underscored the importance of building on the productive cooperation between the two countries and commended Kuwait's expertise and distinguished experience in the healthcare sector, noting that it would support efforts to further develop the health system and strengthen integration and coordination in pursuit of common objectives.

The meeting was also attended by Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health; Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Ansari, Chief Executive of the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA); and Dr. Samya Bahram, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health.
