Riyadh: The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's strongest condemnation and denunciation of the targeting of an Emirati tanker while transiting the Strait of Hormuz, affirming that these unacceptable attacks constitute an assault on the security and safety of maritime navigation and global energy supplies.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Kingdom affirmed that Iran's continued perpetration of these attacks constitutes a grave violation of international laws and norms, including UN Security Council Resolution 2817, which guarantees freedom of navigation and safe passage in maritime waterways.
Saudi Arabia held Iran responsible for the consequences of its continued blatant attacks, calling on Iran to immediately end these violations to preserve the security, stability, and safety of the region.
Saudi Arabia reiterated its full solidarity with the United Arab Emirates and its support for the measures it takes to preserve its sovereignty and resources.
