Manama: The Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), in collaboration with the Make-A-Wish Foundation in the United Arab Emirates, has successfully fulfilled the wishes of several children with illnesses throughout the month of August. This initiative is part of an ongoing humanitarian partnership between the two organizations, aimed at bringing joy and hope to children while supporting them psychologically and emotionally during their treatment journeys.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the wishes granted to the children were reflective of their personal interests and included a variety of electronic devices, accessories, and toys. Among the items provided were Apple products, personal computers, PlayStation consoles and accessories, iPads, and related accessories, fulfilling the diverse aspirations of children enduring various health challenges.
The children benefiting from this initiative are living with a range of health conditions, some of which are rare and complex, necessitating ongoing medical care. These conditions include a rare metabolic disorder related to liver transplantation, oesophageal narrowing and related gastrointestinal issues, coeliac disease, end-stage renal failure, and an immunodeficiency syndrome due to a genetic mutation.
The RHF, through this initiative, aims to extend its care beyond the medical needs of the children, focusing on their psychological and emotional well-being as well. By granting these wishes and creating meaningful experiences, the Foundation intends to instill feelings of happiness, hope, and positivity in these young lives.
