Manama: The Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) has announced the renewal of its partnership with Investcorp, a global institution specializing in alternative investments, through a three-season sponsorship agreement in which Investcorp will become a Gold Partner. This move highlights the strong relationship between the two entities and their ongoing commitment to supporting equestrian sports and horseracing.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the partnership reflects the longstanding relationship between Investcorp and the Kingdom of Bahrain since 1982, emphasizing their dedication to supporting initiatives that enhance Bahrain's international standing. The agreement was signed by Yusuf Buheji, Member of the High Committee of the REHC and Acting Chief Executive Officer, and Yusef Al Yusef, Global Head of Distribution at Investcorp.
Buheji expressed his enthusiasm for the renewed partnership, highlighting the strategic importance of collaborating with leading national and global institutions to support the development of the REHC and bolster its international presence. He praised Investcorp's role in backing the sports sector and emphasized the REHC's efforts to create an investment-friendly environment in horseracing.
Buheji noted the significance of the 2026/2027 horseracing season, which marks the 50th anniversary of the Club's establishment. The partnership will include Investcorp's sponsorship of the Club's international program.
Al Yusef lauded the REHC's achievements on the international stage, enhancing Bahrain's position in the global horseracing community. He reaffirmed that Bahrain remains a core part of Investcorp's identity, having been established in the Kingdom in 1982. Al Yusef expressed delight at the elevation of the partnership to Gold Partner status, coinciding with the REHC's Golden Jubilee.
He highlighted the REHC as a symbol of Bahrain's equestrian heritage and ambition to enhance its international sporting presence. Investcorp aims to support the Club's development and international program, contributing to Bahrain's reputation as a leading destination for sport, business, and global engagement.
