Qatari and Saudi Foreign Ministers Discuss Regional Security and Cooperation

Manama: His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, engaged in a telephone conversation with His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The dialogue focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and addressing current regional issues.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussion included examining recent regional developments, emphasizing diplomatic efforts and joint coordination to enhance security and stability. The leaders highlighted the importance of dialogue and diplomacy, particularly in the context of the United States and Iran's understanding, which includes ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman reaffirmed Qatar's commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at reducing tensions and achieving a comprehensive agreement for sustainable peace in the region. He underscored the necessity of maintaining security, preserving progress, and promoting regional stability through cooperative efforts.
