Manama: The Prime Minister's Office has announced the launch of the seventh edition of the "Fikra" competition, following directives from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The Government Innovation Competition, "Fikra," is set to run from 2 November until 3 December 2025.
According to Bahrain News Agency, "Fikra" is designed to enhance creativity within the Kingdom's national workforce and improve government workstreams aligned with the Kingdom's comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The competition aims to build on the successes of previous editions, enhancing government workstreams and promoting a culture of creativity and innovation.
Public sector employees and government enterprises are invited to submit their ideas either individually or in groups, with a maximum of four individuals per group. Submissions can be made through the PMO's website at www.pmo.gov.bh. The focus of the ideas should be on developing government services to improve efficiency and performance.
All submissions will undergo a preliminary review conducted by relevant members of the evaluation committee.
