Kuwait city: Ali Ahmed Al Derazi, President of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), welcomed ambassadors of European Union member states residing in Kuwait to discuss human rights issues of shared concern. The meeting aimed to bolster communication and cooperation between the NIHR and the EU ambassadors.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Derazi provided an overview of the NIHR's responsibilities in safeguarding and advancing human rights, detailing its monitoring activities and initiatives designed to enhance human rights awareness. The session focused on discussing human rights topics and strategies to strengthen collaboration and share knowledge and experiences.
The EU ambassadors expressed gratitude for the meeting, recognizing the opportunity to better understand the NIHR's role and mandate. They emphasized the significance of maintaining dialogue and exchanging perspectives on mutual human rights interests.
