NIHR monitors 2022 electoral process

The National Institution of Human Rights (NIHR), in its capacity as an independent body, monitored the parliamentary and municipal elections in its second (run-off) round on November 19.

The initial report by the NIHR monitoring team documented a few minor observations which did not affect the electoral process. Those will be included with recommendations in a comprehensive report which will be published at a later stage.

NIHR did not record any violations inside all polling stations, in both rounds of the elections. It concluded that the electoral process was transparent and fair.

On this occasion, NIHR President Ali Ahmed Al Derazi congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the people of Bahrain on the success of the electoral process.
