Manama:The National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) announced the licensing of "Foundayo" (orfoglipron), an oral GLP-1 medication used for obesity treatment.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the licensing allows "Foundayo" to enter the Bahraini market through pharmacies, provided it is used following approved medical guidelines and after necessary medical consultation. This ensures its safe use based on the patient's health condition.
The approval of this medication is an important step in expanding obesity treatment options and addressing related health challenges. It aligns with global developments in the treatment of obesity and associated chronic diseases.
