Manama: The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) Group, which includes the National Bank of Bahrain and Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB), has unveiled the 'AI and Digital Banking Academy' in partnership with the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) to advance digital skills and prepare its workforce for future challenges.
According to Bahrain News Agency, this initiative is part of Tamkeen's Enterprise Training Support Programme and is in line with its 2025 strategy to enhance the competitiveness of Bahraini talent and promote digital transformation within the private sector.
Maram Buallay, Acting Group Chief Human Resources Officer at NBB, mentioned that the programme is designed to cultivate both technical and creative skills, enabling the organisation to adapt to technological advancements and encourage innovation.
The training, which lasts for seven days, encompasses project management, data analytics, digital payments, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and automation. It concludes with a hackathon to encourage practical collaboration. Participants will be awarded accredited certificates upon completion.
