Bahrain Clinches Three Gold Medals in Mixed Martial Arts at Asian Youth Games

Manama: Bahraini athletes achieved an outstanding result at the 3rd Asian Youth Games, winning three gold medals in mixed martial arts (MMA) competitions hosted by the Kingdom until October 31. It was a golden day for Bahrain as Khalidov Ibragim secured the 70kg title after a series of victories, including a unanimous decision win over Laith Al Gharaibeh in the quarterfinals, a submission win against Daryn Mustafin in the semifinals, and another submission victory against Albaraa Ibrahim Al Ajmi in the final.

According to Bahrain News Agency, in the 65kg category, Abdulakim Babaev continued Bahrain's success, defeating Amirali Aliabadi, Omar Al Marzooqi, and Amir Serik before clinching gold with a submission win over Haif Hassan Al Qahtani in the final. Eldar Eldarov completed Bahrain's golden treble by winning the 60kg division. He overcame Behruz Rustamov in the quarterfinals, Aliasghar Moradi in the semifinals, and Mukhammadrasul Kadirdinov by submission in the final to claim the Kingdom's third gold medal.

These achievements underscore Bahrain's growing prominence in mixed martial arts and reflect the Kingdom's continued investment in developing national talent across all sports disciplines.
