National Guard Commander Engages in Strategic Talks with Pakistan’s Army Chief

Manama: His Highness General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Commander of the National Guard, met with Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, to discuss strengthening military cooperation and shared interests between Bahrain and Pakistan.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was attended by Brigadier Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations and Training at the National Guard. During the discussions, HH General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, as well as those of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister.

HH General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa emphasized the robust nature of Bahraini-Pakistani relations and highlighted the continuous growth of military cooperation and expertise-sharing between the two nations. His Highness underscored the necessity of building on these ties to further develop their strategic defense partnership.

The discussions also covered subjects of mutual interest, focusing on the potential for enhanced cooperation and coordination between the National Guard and the Pakistan Army. Additionally, the two sides exchanged views on regional and international issues, with a particular emphasis on the ongoing developments in the Middle East.
