Magnitude 6.0 Earthquake Strikes Off Northeastern Japan

Manama: A 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Iwate Prefecture in northeastern Japan. The tremor was reported at 9:08 p.m. local time, occurring at a depth of 40 kilometres.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) released a statement confirming the details of the earthquake. The agency reported that there have been no immediate reports of casualties or damage resulting from the seismic event. Additionally, the JMA confirmed that no tsunami warning had been issued following the earthquake.
