Ma’an Committee Discusses Progress and Future of Research and Training Centre Programmes

Amman: Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) at the Ministry of Interior and Chairman of the Ma'an (Together) Programme Against Violence and Addiction Committee, chaired a meeting of the committee to review the programmes and initiatives of the Ma'an Research and Training Centre.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman praised the Ma'an Centre for earning esteemed regional and international awards, indicating that the achievements demonstrate the centre's progress in developing its awareness and preventive programmes. He also acknowledged the team's efforts behind the awards, emphasizing their professionalism and expertise in meeting the required standards and showcasing the centre's experience at regional and international forums.

Ali Ahmed Amini, Director of the Crime Prevention Directorate and Director of the Ma'an Programme, presented the Ma'an Digital Summer Programme during the meeting. He outlined its modern approach to delivering awareness and security messages tailored to students' interests. Amini also reviewed the main features of the 2026 Ma'an Security Awareness Exhibition, which aims to promote positive behaviour and reinforce concepts of security and safety.

The meeting also addressed the collaboration between the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Education in implementing the Ma'an Programme in schools across the Kingdom of Bahrain. The programme has played a role in delivering awareness and preventive messages to students within a structured educational setting and enhancing institutional partnerships to support and protect young people from negative behaviours, aligning with the shared objectives of the two ministries to build an aware and responsible generation.
