LMRA Chief Executive Meets with US Ambassador to Discuss Bilateral Relations

Manama: Nibras Talib, Chief Executive of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) and Chairman of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons, received Stephanie Hallett, US Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Chief Executive congratulated Ambassador Hallett on her appointment and wished her success in her diplomatic duties. He emphasized the longstanding strategic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States, highlighting the broad cooperation between the two countries across various fields. Talib expressed Bahrain's aspiration to further strengthen bilateral ties in a manner that serves the interests of both nations.

During a tour of the Migrant Workers Protection Centre, Ambassador Hallett was briefed on the centre's role within Bahrain's national framework, which is built on the pillars of protection, prevention, justice, partnership, and institutional sustainability. She also received an overview of the Kingdom's legislative and procedural initiatives aimed at enhancing the labour market environment, safeguarding the rights of all parties, and further strengthening Bahrain's framework for combating trafficking in persons.
