Manama: The State of Kuwait strongly condemned and denounced the Iranian attack on two Emirati tankers belonging to Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) while sailing through the Strait of Hormuz.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Kuwait's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that targeting commercial vessels and international maritime routes constitutes a violation of international law and United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817 and puts maritime security, the stability of energy supplies, and international trade at risk.
It stressed the need to stop all actions that could escalate tensions in the region, respect freedom of navigation and safe passage through international waterways, and fully and unconditionally reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
It reaffirmed Kuwait's full solidarity with the United Arab Emirates and its support for all measures it takes to protect its security, sovereignty, and interests.
