The arab republic of egypt: strongly condemned the attack targeting two vessels affiliated with the United Arab Emirates' Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) as they transited the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday evening, in an attack that represents a threat to the security and safety of maritime navigation and freedom of vessel movement through one of the most important international waterways.
According to Bahrain News Agency, in a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Egyptians Abroad, Egypt affirmed its full solidarity with the UAE.
Egypt stressed the need to halt all acts that could threaten the security and safety of international navigation or endanger civilian vessels and facilities, and the need to respect the rules of international law, in a manner that contributes to de-escalation and preserves the security and stability of the region.
