Doha:His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa warmly received French President Emmanuel Macron and his delegation upon their arrival in Bahrain for an official visit.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the visit will include discussions between King Hamad and President Macron on the strong bilateral relations between Bahrain and France, as well as recent regional and international developments.
Present at the arrival were several notable figures, including His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the King's Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and National Security Advisor, and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, among others. The Honour Guard saluted both leaders, and students from the Ministry of Education schools participated in welcoming the French President with a traditional Bahraini Ardhah performance.
The official motorcade, escorted by mounted guards, proceeded to Sakhir Palace, where an official welcoming ceremony took place. The event featured the national anthems of France and Bahrain, along with a 21-gun salute in honor of President Macron. Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Foreign Affairs Minister, led the mission of honour.
