Accra:Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, conducted a trial of the smart learning platform (B~SERA), examining its AI-powered educational tools prior to its official launch. The platform is designed to enhance education by improving efficiency and providing support to teachers, students, and parents through artificial intelligence.
According to Bahrain News Agency, during the preparation phase, educational data from schools was thoroughly analyzed and integrated into the platform. Work also commenced on developing the educational and administrative services that the platform will offer. The platform aims to effectively utilize AI in education to bolster the capabilities of teaching and administrative staff, as well as students, in using modern technology to achieve educational goals, improve education quality, and enhance service efficiency.
In its initial phase, the platform will deliver a broad array of educational and administrative services for students, teachers, and parents. These services will include a learning management system that allows students to utilize AI for studying lessons, preparing study plans, and accessing summaries and explanations. It will also aid in developing self-assessment skills through interactive tests and assessments crafted by an AI assistant, providing feedback based on results. This approach supports independent learning, considers individual student differences, and aims to improve educational outcomes.
Additionally, the AI-powered platform will assist teachers in preparing lessons and educational plans, offer tools for developing teaching methods, and facilitate communication among teachers, students, and parents through direct interaction channels. This will strengthen school-family partnerships, enable parents to monitor academic progress, and create a more interactive and integrated learning environment.
The smart learning platform (B~SERA) represents the first practical application of AI within the formal education system.
