Manama:His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has received an invitation from His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates, to attend the United Nations Water Conference 2026, which will be held in the UAE in December.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the written invitation was delivered to King Hamad by Fahad Mohammed Salem Kardous Al Ameri, the UAE Ambassador to Bahrain.
King Hamad expressed his gratitude to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed for the invitation and praised the UAE's efforts in hosting this significant global conference. The event aims to enhance the focus on water resources, encourage collective action to tackle water-related challenges, and mobilize international efforts to ensure sustainable water access for all.
The King also highlighted Bahrain's appreciation for the historical ties and strong bonds between Bahrain and the UAE. He emphasized the ongoing development of cooperation and coordination between the two nations, which contributes to the growth and prosperity of their peoples.
