Manama: Muneera Nofal Al Doseri, Executive Director of the King Hamad Global Center for Coexistence and Tolerance, welcomed several ambassadors from the European Union accredited to the Kingdom of Bahrain and residing in Kuwait. This visit aimed to familiarize the ambassadors with the Center's efforts, programs, and initiatives focused on promoting coexistence, tolerance, and dialogue, in collaboration with friendly countries and international organizations.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the delegation included seven ambassadors, among them Amir Muharemi from Croatia, Christian Dooms from Belgium, Ioannis Plotas from Greece, Manuel Hern¡ndez Gamallo from Spain, Ulrich Frank from Austria, Michal Jan Gulia from Poland, and Laurens Westhoff from the Netherlands. The Center provided a presentation that detailed its main areas of work, initiatives, and academic and training programs at both local and international levels. It emphasized its contributions to fostering coexistence and tolerance through educational, cultural, and media platforms.
The presentation also spotlighted the King Hamad Award for Coexistence and Tolerance, discussing its humanitarian and civilizational importance and its global objectives. Al Doseri reiterated Bahrain's dedication to enhancing cooperation with the EU in promoting a culture of peace, tolerance, and coexistence. She highlighted the significance of ongoing collaborative efforts to organize international conferences aimed at protecting freedom of religion or belief and promoting coexistence.
The ambassadors acknowledged Bahrain's initiatives to encourage dialogue and understanding among civilizations and cultures. They praised the Center's contributions to advancing shared human values at regional and international levels and confirmed their dedication to further enhancing cooperation and coordination in areas of mutual interest.
