Manama:Muneera Nofal Al Doseri, Executive Director of the King Hamad Global Center for Coexistence and Tolerance (KHGC), recently welcomed a delegation from the French organization L'Œuvre d'Orient. The delegation, led by CEO Monsignor Hugues de Woillemont, aimed to explore potential collaborations in fostering cultural and religious understanding.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting highlighted the French organization's initiatives to support various communities and safeguard their religious and cultural heritage. The focus was also on their diverse activities, including education, healthcare, and social work across more than 20 countries.
Both parties deliberated on developing joint initiatives to enhance interfaith dialogue and preserve cultural and religious diversity. They also considered sharing expertise in areas of mutual interest to further the cause of understanding and coexistence among different communities.
