Justice Ministry Launches Enhanced Electronic Marriage Document Service

Manama:According to Bahrain News Agency, the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf has launched an improved electronic inquiry service to facilitate the issuance of official marriage documents. This service allows both parties involved in a marriage contract to monitor their application's progress and status online.

The upgraded service now processes applications instantly and automatically, a significant improvement from the previous one-working-day processing time. Additionally, the Service Level Agreement has been cut by at least 25%, while electronic service delivery has reached full implementation. The upgrade also features a better user interface, simplified procedures, standardized service information, and automated service delivery across all platforms.

Dana Khamis Al Zayani, Undersecretary for Planning and Family Reconciliation and Alimony at the Ministry, highlighted that the service allows couples to electronically track the status of their marriage contract document issuance via the Ministry's website, moj.gov.bh, eliminating the need for in-person visits.

The service upgrade aims to streamline procedures, reduce the time and effort for beneficiaries, speed up the issuance of marriage documents, and improve the quality and efficiency of government services. It also supports digital transformation, ensuring government services are more accessible, faster, and effective while enhancing the overall user experience.
