Justice Ministry and Royal University for Women Sign Memorandum for Legal Studies and Training Cooperation

Manama: The Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, and the Royal University for Women have signed a cooperation memorandum aimed at enhancing academic and professional collaboration in legal studies and vocational training. This agreement seeks to strengthen ties between the Judicial and Legal Studies Institute and the university.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the memorandum was signed by Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, and Professor Riyad Yousif Hamzah, President of the Royal University for Women. Minister Al Maawda emphasized the significance of this cooperation in supporting legal and professional development programs. He reiterated the ministry's dedication to strengthening partnerships with national academic institutions to advance legal competencies and equip them with modern skills needed for legal and judicial work.

Professor Hamzah expressed the university's pride in the partnership with the ministry, highlighting the university's goal for an effective collaboration that aids in developing legal education, exchanging academic and professional expertise, and preparing qualified legal professionals who can adapt to rapid changes in legal sciences.

Judge Dr. Riyadh Mohamed Seyadi, Director of the Judicial and Legal Studies Institute, remarked that the memorandum represents a strategic step towards enhancing professional legal training quality in Bahrain by linking practical and academic aspects. He noted that this cooperation will aid in developing training programs that align with the legal sector's needs and judicial bodies' requirements, supporting national efforts to bolster the justice system.

This memorandum supports initiatives to develop foundational programs for students and lawyers, preparing national legal cadres through professional training programs and specialized academic materials. These efforts aim to enhance legal knowledge and skills for efficient and professional legal practice.

The collaboration will also involve exchanging academic and practical expertise in legal education and training, designing and implementing specialized programs, and organizing joint scientific and professional events. The Royal University for Women's expertise in information technology, digital transformation, and training quality will also be leveraged.
