AMMAN: Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan of Jordan met with Lebanese Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati to discuss the ongoing Israeli military actions against Lebanon, reaffirming Jordan’s support for Lebanon’s sovereignty and stability.
According to Jordan News Agency, during the key meeting held in Amman, Prime Minister Hassan expressed Jordan’s unwavering stance in support of Lebanon amidst the current regional tensions. He condemned the ongoing Israeli aggression and emphasized the importance of adhering to United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701, which calls for a full cessation of hostilities and the respect of Lebanon’s territorial integrity.
Lebanese Prime Minister Mikati thanked Jordan for its solid support during these challenging times. He highlighted the significance of Jordan’s role in maintaining regional security and its persistent solidarity with the Lebanese people.
