Jordanian Monarch Discusses Regional Security with Egypt President

Amman: His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan received a telephone call from Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, during which they discussed the latest regional developments and affirmed the importance of intensifying efforts to restore comprehensive calm in the region.

According to Jordan News Agency (Petra), HM King Abdullah II stressed Jordan's rejection of the attacks that targeted its territory and a number of Arab states, affirming that the Kingdom continues to take the necessary measures to preserve the safety of its citizens and safeguard its security and stability.

For his part, President Al Sisi affirmed Egypt's condemnation of the attacks against Jordan and a number of Arab states, reiterating Egypt's rejection of any attempts that affect the security, stability and sovereignty of Jordan.
