Manama: The General Directorate of the Islamic Endowments Affairs Council has developed its mosque construction contribution service, enabling individuals wishing to contribute fully or partially to mosque construction projects to submit applications electronically through the Kingdom of Bahrain's National Portal, bahrain.bh.
According to Bahrain News Agency, The development reduced processing time from 10 working days to five, required documents by 50%, and necessary approvals by at least 25%. Application steps were also reduced to a maximum of four, while the service became fully electronic.
Ahmed Khalil Khairi, Director General of the General Directorate of the Islamic Endowments Affairs Council, said the development aims to simplify procedures, improve efficiency and provide beneficiaries with an easier digital experience.
The initiative forms part of wider government efforts to develop and reengineer services. More than 1,300 government services have been documented, translated and published, including 800 that have undergone development and reengineering across various sectors.
